Welcome to
BANEA and LCANE

The London Centre for the Ancient Near East (LCANE) promotes London and surrounding areas as a hub for the study of the ancient Near East.
The London Centre organises regular seminar series on university premises in London. These and other ancient Near Eastern events in London and surrounding areas are publicised in the London Diary for the Ancient Near East, a periodic list of public lectures, seminars, museum activities and other events in London that bear on the languages, history, and archaeology of the ancient Near East.

LCANE activities are supported by membership subscriptions and donations.
Membership is open to all.

The British Association for Near Eastern Archaeology (BANEA) promotes the study of archaeology, languages, and history of ancient West Asia. Through conferences, workshops, and schools outreach, BANEA supports community-building for researchers and students across UK networks. We are a non-profit organisation committed to creating a more accessible, diverse, and equitable setting for ancient Near Eastern studies.

BANEA activities are supported by membership subscriptions and donations.

Membership is open to all.
